After admiring the views Chris and I decided to walk the short distance back to the hotel two hours later we stopped for a quick beer

Today after a hard week at the grindstone we went sight seeing

In these photographs’a 19 storey was affected by the earthquake and the top of the building is 25cm out of line and when I met the builder he suggested that he could simply jack up the building.

As we went around the building one or two cracks were noticed

After a quick drink we carried on with our journey

Two hours later we arrived in the Andes and decided to see how high we could get and got turned back at the Argentine border

The others had forgotten their passports

the huge waves also damaged a small shopping precinct

On Saturday 27/02/2010 an 8.8 magnitude quake occurred some 30 minutes later parts of the Chile's coastal regions were swamped by the tsunami, amongst those hit were the port of Talcahuano several huge waves inundated part of the major port city of Talcahuano, near the hard-hit city of Concepcion.
